About The Conference
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of SRM Institute of Science and Technology ,Chennai, India is planning to conduct an International Conference on Internet of Things (ICIoT 2019) from March 11th 2019 to March 15th 2019 in the Kattankulathur campus, Chennai. The conference aims to provide an outstanding opportunity for both academic and industrial communities to address new trends and challenges, emerging technologies and progress in standards on topics relevant to today’s fast moving areas of Internet of Things. It also provides a platform for the discussion of new results in the field of Internet of things. The Conference will have different themes for each day and each theme contains different thought provoking sessions. The first two days will focus on IoT in Computer Science and Information Technology domains. The third day’s first track will focus on Civil, Mechanical and Automobile domains and the second track will focus on Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation domains. The fourth day is a showcase of the products by Startups and Entrepreneurs who will be sharing their success stories and their experience in implementing IoT in their respective fields. The final day will focus on Government initiatives like Digital India, Smart Cities, where in top bureaucrats from various departments will deliberate on the themes. Researchers, Faculty, students and Practitioners will be presenting their findings and ideas during the Paper presentation session on all the five days.

About Computer Science and Engineering Department
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is the largest in the SRM family with over 6000 students and 200 faculty members. The department offers eight Specializations in undergraduate B.Tech Programme apart from the regular Computer Science and Engineering, namely, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning , Big Data Analytics, Computer Networking, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Information Technology and Software Engineering. The undergraduate B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering Programme of Kattankulathur campus is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK.

How to Reach?
Please follow the below mentioned directions according to your mode of transport.
By Airways
The nearest railway station from the Chennai Airport is Tirusulam, located just opposite the Airport. Get on a train towards Tambaram and follow the instructions given in the 'By Rail' section for reaching SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University).
By Railways
Those coming from other states of India by train, should get down at the Chennai Central Station, come out and cross the high road through the pedestrian subway and reach 'Park' suburban metro rail station. Two destination trains are available from Park suburban metro rail station - to (i) Tambaram (TBM) (ii) Chengalpattu (CGL).
(i) If you take the train to Tambaram, then get down at Tambaram and reach the local bus stand there. Take T60 or T60 LSS bus and get down at SRM or Potheri stop. It is a 20 minute travel from Tambaram to reach SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University). (Total Travel time from Chennai Central Railway Station will be around One Hour).
(ii) If you take the train to Chengalpattu, you can directly reach Potheri railway station. SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) is just opposite to Potheri railway station.
